Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States is seeking a skilled technician for mechanical/electrical integration of components and test articles. You will work with vacuum systems, high-voltage equipment, and thermal processing while documenting results and supporting engineers on manufacturability and testability.

The role requires lifting, overtime flexibility, and strict adherence to safety protocols. This position is part of the ACE/Operations teams, contributing to safe, reusable spaceflight

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as requirement.
• 6+ years of hands-on technician experience or 4+ years with an Associate’s degree.
• Experience with vacuum systems: pumps, gauges, valves, leak-checking.
• Experience with high-voltage/high-amperage systems in industrial/test environments.
• Mechanical assembly and integration using standard hand and power tools.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly prints.
• Proficient with common shop/test equipment (torque tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, DAQ interfaces, pressure gauges).
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical integration of components, subsystems, and test articles.
• Set up, operate, and maintain vacuum systems and related hardware.
• Work with high-voltage and high-amperage systems with proper safety.
• Set up and operate furnaces and thermal processing equipment for testing.
• Provide hands-on feedback to engineers on manufacturability and testability.
• Prepare build records, nonconformance reports, and test logs.
• Mentor junior technicians and support a collaborative team culture.
