Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer for Long Island, NY. The role focuses on designing HVAC systems for commercial and institutional projects, developing plans, specs, and construction documents.

Responsibilities include equipment sizing, system layouts, and coordinating with other disciplines while supporting a project from concept through construction. Strong independence and multi-project management are valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and building projects.
• Develop mechanical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform equipment selection, sizing, and system layouts.
• Coordinate designs with other MEP disciplines and project teams.
• Support projects from concept through construction.
