Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Facilities Service Manager – Mechanical to lead the onsite mechanical team responsible for cooling and HVAC systems in our Abilene data center. You’ll manage technicians, drive an in-house self-perform maintenance program, ensure uptime, and partner with engineering and reliability groups to deliver safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in HVAC mechanical service or uptime-critical environments.
• 1–3+ years leading technicians or service teams.
• Associate/Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC tech, or facilities mgmt.
• Strong understanding of large-scale cooling systems and energy performance.
• Experience with maintenance execution, vendor performance, incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite mechanical facilities technicians for maintenance, troubleshooting, and service execution.
• Direct manager for technicians; provide leadership, coaching, and performance management.
• Build in-house self-perform maintenance program for mechanical systems.
• Oversee maintenance for chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, towers, piping, and controls.
• Manage vendors/contractors; enforce SLAs and safe practices.
• Track system health, reliability, energy performance, and uptime metrics.
• Own mechanical safety programs and compliance; train technicians accordingly.
• Coordinate with Facility Managers, Engineering, Reliability, and Construction for readiness.
