Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Facilities Service Manager – Mechanical in Abilene, TX to lead the onsite mechanical services for mission-critical cooling and HVAC systems. You will manage a team of technicians, drive an in-house maintenance program, and ensure safe, reliable operation across infrastructure.

The role emphasizes service execution, uptime protection, and continuous improvement in maintenance practices, with ongoing collaboration across facilities, reliability, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in HVAC, mechanical service, critical facilities maintenance, or uptime-critical environments such as data centers or large industrial infra.
• 1–3+ years leading technicians, service teams, or field maintenance operations.
• Strong understanding of large-scale cooling systems, HVAC service operations, controls interfaces, redundancy strategies, and energy-performance considerations.
• Experience managing maintenance execution, vendor performance, technician development, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite mechanical facilities technician team for maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and service execution for mission-critical cooling/HVAC systems.
• Direct manager for Mechanical Facilities Technicians with day-to-day leadership and performance management.
• Build and lead an in-house self-perform maintenance program for mechanical systems, including planning, training, and execution standards.
• Oversee maintenance and service for large-scale mechanical and cooling infrastructure (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, pumps, towers, heat exchangers, piping, controls).
• Manage vendors, contractors, and internal service teams, enforcing SLAs and safe practices.
• Track system health, reliability, energy performance, and maintenance metrics to improve uptime and reduce repeats.
• Own mechanical safety programs, regulatory compliance, and technician training related to maintenance and refrigerant handling.
• Support incident response, capacity changes, maintenance planning, and post-event reviews.
• Partner with Facility Managers, Engineering, Reliability, Controls, Construction, and Commissioning for effective handoffs and readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance procedures, spare parts, documentation, and response standards.
• Ensure site readiness for 24/7 operations through staffing, escalation, training, and planning.
