Job summary

Loenbro in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead the estimating effort for complex industrial projects. You will develop accurate, competitive cost models, interpret drawings, specs, isometrics, and contract documents to build work breakdown structures for projects up to $25M or more depending on scope.

As a senior member of the Estimating team, you will guide quantity takeoffs, labor and equipment analysis, subcontractor evaluations, and risk assessment, while

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in industrial construction estimating, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Estimating experience with Accubid, HCSS, HeavyBid and/or HeavyJob.
• Ability to read P&ID drawings and other technical schematics.
• Scheduling experience with MSP or P6.
• Excellent communication skills and strong computer skills including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of detailed estimates for projects up to $50MM, considering complexity and self-performance scope.
• Validate quantity take-offs and ensure accurate input into estimating software.
• Apply advanced cost analysis and contingency planning for risk mitigation.
• Interpret and analyze P&ID drawings and other technical documents; engage with clients.
• Develop and enforce estimating procedures and oversee bid review meetings.
