Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction projects. You will review drawings, analyze costs, and support bidding, budgeting, and project planning with cross-functional teams.

Role requires a BSME and 8+ years of estimating experience, on-site presence, and ability to coordinate with PMs and subcontractors. Travel may be required; strong software and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSME required.
• 8+ years estimating mechanical projects in construction.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction methods.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Daily on-site presence at project or office locations; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs; develop bid cost breakdowns.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project review sessions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering efforts.
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards and industry best practices.
