Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems on construction projects. You will review drawings, specs, labor, materials, and subcontractor proposals to support bidding, budgeting, and planning.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry, proficient in estimating software and MS Office, and capable of collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
• 8+ years of experience estimating mechanical discipline projects in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop cost breakdowns and support bid proposal preparation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate information.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project review sessions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and value-engineering efforts.
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards and industry best practices.
