Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator in New York to lead the development of comprehensive project estimates and risk analyses. You will coordinate with project teams, maintain rate libraries, and drive cost-contingency decisions to ensure competitive, accurate bids.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of estimating experience in construction, proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX, and a construction-related degree.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as an estimator in a construction environment.
• Experience with estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Degree or comparable experience in a construction-related discipline.
• RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or on track to achieve it; support available.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Lead the development of the total project estimate.
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, including cost contingency recommendations.
• Analyze and make recommendations on solutions to problems with varying complexity per project objectives and guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 10 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help!

• Are detail orientated and quality focused
