Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Department Manager (Mechanical) in Houston, TX. The role leads the mechanical engineering team on client projects, process studies, and related deliverables, ensuring adherence to client standards and schedule commitments. The position requires a P.E.

license, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and at least 12 years of leadership experience in Oil & Gas/EPC environments, with Caesar II proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience required in mechanical engineering leadership roles.
• Experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical business lines in an EPC environment.
• Ability to develop equipment data sheets, requisition packages, and technical bid reviews.
• Caesar II software experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise department staff including salary administration, recruiting, and performance reviews.
• Oversee engineering deliverables, ensure quality control and adherence to client standards.
• Interface with clients to build relationships and prepare proposals and scopes of work.
• Lead business development activities and collaborate with procurement and construction.
