• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in custom machinery, automation, or capital equipment.
• 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong background in DFM and manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication,).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of robust and scalable mechanical design practices for custom converting, packaging, and coating machinery and automation.
• Champion DFM principles across all projects to reduce cost, lead time, and complexity.
• Expand team capability in engineering analysis while ensuring it is not over-applied.
• Identify technical and execution risks early in the design phase and drive proactive mitigation plans.
• Drive consistency in design standards while maintaining flexibility for unique or outlier projects.
