Job summary
1st St NW Technical Staffing seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for a well-established automation engineering and manufacturing company in Minnetonka, MN. This direct-hire role offers competitive benefits including profit sharing, 401(k) match, generous PTO, health/dental, and more.
You will lead the complete systems design of industrial automation systems, perform FEA on precision components, and interface with customers to gather specifications and deliver technical presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent.
- 7+ years of post-graduate experience.
- Strong machine and systems design experience.
- Experience interfacing directly with customers.
- 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or equivalent.
- Strong FEA experience (ANSYS a plus).
- Ability to pass a drug test.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete systems design of industrial automation systems.
- Design and analyze precision machined components (FEA).
- Interface directly with customers to gather specifications, answer technical questions, and present solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams to meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals.
- Prepare 3D models using SolidWorks.
