Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Progressive product design engineering experience with responsibility for complex technical decisions and design delivery
• Engineering leadership experience managing people, priorities, and multiple development projects
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials, and verification methods
• Ability to remain technically engaged in detailed design reviews and guide engineers through difficult design problems
• Clear communication with customers, commercial teams, manufacturing personnel, and senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, establish priorities, allocate resources, and manage project commitments
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture, mechanical design, materials selection, tolerances, and design verification
• Lead concept, preliminary, and detailed design reviews; challenge assumptions and resolve technical risks before release
• Translate customer performance, environmental, and interface requirements into clear engineering specifications and validation plans
• Oversee drawings, bills of materials, design calculations, engineering changes, and controlled product release
• Partner with sales and customers on technical feasibility, application requirements, proposals, and custom product solutions
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability, address field or production failures, and support new product introduction
• Build engineering capability through coaching, clear technical standards, and consistent design and project management practices
