Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead product design engineering for engineered solutions from customer requirements through validation and production release. You will guide technical decisions, review detailed designs, and develop engineers while ensuring on-time delivery and high quality.

You will manage a team of engineers, coordinate with sales, manufacturing and quality, and drive design reviews, risk management, and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Progressive product design engineering experience with complex decisions.
• Engineering leadership experience managing people and multiple projects.
• Strong CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis and verification methods.
• Ability to guide engineers through difficult design problems.
• Clear communication with customers, commercial teams, manufacturing, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities, allocate resources, and manage commitments.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture, mechanical design, materials selection, tolerances, and verification.
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate requirements into clear specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, BOMs, design calculations, and controlled product release.
• Collaborate with sales and customers on feasibility, proposals, and custom solutions.
• Work with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and support new product introduction.
• Coach engineers and establish technical standards and project management practices.
