Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Part-time Mechanical Engineering Associate, Principal to join our Houston, TX team. The role involves designing equipment, components, structures, or systems and leading multi-discipline activities with a focus on cost and schedule adherence.

The candidate will prepare specifications, perform calculations and models, review vendor drawings, and interact with clients. ABET accreditation and EIT certification preferred; 20 years experience desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• ABET Accredited Institution preferred.
• Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare advanced level specifications detailing client performance requirements and design needs.
• Prepare sketches, calculations and models for complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
• Plan, budget and manage project work and schedule.
