Job summary

Kinetics Noise Control is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Applications Engineering team in Dublin, OH. You will design vibration isolation systems, submittals, and manufacturing drawings, and perform seismic/wind analyses for structural components and anchorage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, structural frames, or product design.
• Experience with Autodesk design tools, SolidWorks Simulation or other FEA platforms, Excel, programming, or engineering automation tools.
• Demonstrated experience producing engineering calculations and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail distribution system supports, restraints, anchors, and vibration isolation systems for piping, ductwork, and electrical (MEP) systems.
• Develop vibration isolation, curb, frame, and base submittals, including manufacturing drawings.
• Perform seismic and wind load calculations and produce supporting engineering reports.
• Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools.
• Execute analytical modelling and custom solution development based on project‑specific requirements and field conditions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Field Teams to ensure practical, buildable solutions.
• Support Revit/BIM coordination for MEP systems and engineered supports.
• Review project documentation, identify missing inputs, and define engineering scope requirements.
• Provide technical support for field installations, shop fabrication issues, and customer inquiries.
• Generate custom product drawings based on project sales requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering tools, internal software, standards, and workflows.
