Kinetics Noise Control in Dublin, OH is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our Application Engineering team. This role develops vibration isolation systems and engineered supports for commercial and industrial applications.

The position entails producing submittals and manufacturing drawings, performing seismic and wind analyses, modeling with FEA, and collaborating with Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Field Teams to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, structural frames, or product design
• Experience with Autodesk design tools, SolidWorks Simulation or other FEA platforms, Excel, programming, or engineering automation tools
• Demonstrated experience producing engineering calculations and technical reports

Responsibilities

• Design and detail distribution system supports, restraints, anchors, and vibration isolation systems for piping, ductwork, and electrical (MEP) systems
• Develop vibration isolation, curb, frame, and base submittals, including manufacturing drawings
• Perform seismic and wind load calculations and produce supporting engineering reports
• Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools
• Execute analytical modeling and custom solution development based on project-specific requirements and field conditions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Field Teams to ensure practical, buildable solutions
• Support Revit/BIM coordination for MEP systems and engineered supports
• Review project documentation, identify missing inputs, and define engineering scope requirements
• Provide technical support for field installations, shop fabrication issues, and customer inquiries
• Generate custom product drawings based on project sales requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering tools, internal software, standards, and workflows
