RedCat Aerial, a drone technology company, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate electro-mechanical systems for UAS flight hardware and ground control systems. You will prototype, test, and prepare designs for scalable manufacturing while leading high‑impact projects.

The role requires 10+ years in a design-focused engineering position, strong teamwork, and proven experience with SolidWorks and CAD tools. On-site work in Torrance, CA with potential for growth.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years designing in a mechanical engineering role.
• Experience leading a team or project from cradle to grave.
• Strong problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.
• 10+ years hands-on experience with CAD platforms (SolidWorks, NX, Creo, AutoCAD).

Responsabilidades

• Be the technical authority for mechanical and system level changes.
• Lead mechanical heavy projects and consult on new ideas and products.
• Design electro-mechanical systems for UAS in SolidWorks with precision.
• Prototype, validate, and prepare designs for scalable manufacturing.
• Develop tools, fixtures, and automation jigs for manufacturing.
• Draft assembly, inspection, and test procedures and reports.
• Build hardware systems yourself during NPI process.
• Fly, design, and build drones.
