This Senior Mechanical Engineer role designs, develops, and verifies mechanical components (sheet metal and machined parts) and integrates them with electronics, while mentoring staff and leading small project groups.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering and 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience or 20+ years in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced modeling tools knowledge to convert requirements into drawings
• Review drawings to ensure adherence to specifications and producibility
• Lead small project groups and mentor new hires
• Provide technical assistance for building and testing products
• Troubleshoot products in Manufacturing and in the field
• Assist systems team in research, design, and evaluation of processes
• Write mechanical performance requirements for development projects
• Perform mechanical/fluid calculations to establish standards
• Compile data and write reports on studies or projects
• Troubleshoot hardware components at assembly level
