Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5-12 years’ experience in mechanical design across product lifecycle.
• Experience in design-to-production and Engineering Changes on DoD programs.
• Proficient with 3-D CAD software (PTC CREO and/or SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Direct technical lead experience managing design tasks.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
• MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on mechanical design support for DOD pre-production and production programs.
• Perform electromechanical design and modeling of robotic and military hardware.
• Participate in Engineering Change process including creating/updating designs and drawings for production; perform checks and approvals.
• Design hardware products using 3D CAD tools.
• Oversee and task other engineers on project designs.
• Conduct system-level tolerance analysis and disposition non-conforming material.
• Lead design reviews and interface with vendors and customers.
• Support cost estimation for development programs.
