Job summary

QinetiQ US Massachusetts is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to sustain and improve manufacturing processes, assist in work cell layouts, review equipment, and troubleshoot production to improve throughput. The role spans from design support to non-routine service contracts across Maritime Systems and unmanned vehicles.

Qualifications include a B.S. in engineering with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong problem-solving and technical writing, and the ability to read drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electromechanical engineering plus 3–5 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with laser cutters, cutters/lasers, and fabrication equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing floor operations and respond to production needs.
• Modify and create cutter/laser cut files and repair equipment.
• Perform ballistic analysis and material property evaluation.
• Develop fixtures, molds, and 3D-printed components.
• Coordinate production activities with suppliers and Navy personnel.
• Ensure compliance with Navy specifications and delivery timelines.
