Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a motivated Staff Mechanical Engineer who will participate in mechanical design, prototype build, and the production of military and commercial products. Projects include electromechanical ruggedized assemblies, robotics and automated machinery.

You will design and document parts using Creo or SolidWorks, support testing, and drive engineering change processes. The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 2–4 years of experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 2–4 years' mechanical design experience.
• Experience with Creo and/or SolidWorks.
• Proficient in 3-D CAD and documentation.
• Able to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform as engineering team member on projects.
• Create designs and documentation, implement changes, build prototype systems.
• Create detailed designs and drawings for fabrication.
• Support in-house and field testing of prototype hardware.
• Act as engineering liaison to manufacturing and quality.
• Support procurement and interface with suppliers.
• Participate in the Engineering Change process.
• Resolve manufacturing and quality issues, report on status.
• Perform basic tolerance analysis.
