Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to reactor mechanical products design and analysis. Expect 2-3 days on-site with a hybrid model and no relocation provided.

The role involves designing reactor components, verifying documents, and supporting fabrication, plant upgrades, and outages. PE is preferred, ASME/ASTM knowledge beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (with Structural Engineering experience).
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience performing structural analyses with ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS APDL, GTStrudl and hand calculations.
• Experience with ASME B&PVC Section III Subsection NF and/or AISC ASD preferred.
• Willing to travel ~5-10% of time.
• PE certification (or ability to obtain) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering solutions and support fabrication/installation drawings for RMP products.
• Author and verify design documentation including specifications, analyses, test plans, and reports.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication and installation of plant upgrades and modifications.
• Provide emergent support for outage issues related to RMP products.
• Design mechanical systems and equipment in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated system solutions.
