Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA seeks an Engineer I to design and analyze reactor mechanical components and primary system support. The role reports to the Manager of Reactor Mechanical Products and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities include ASME/AISC-calculated analyses, design and manufacturing documentation, and coordination with leads, PMs, and customers. Occasional travel for on-site support may be required.

Qualifications

• 0+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of materials science beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Calculations to ASME and AISC requirements.
• Analytical calculations and evaluations using engineering tools and methods.
• Documentation related to calculations and analysis.
• Design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware like manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications, and qualification reports.
• Communicate with leads, project managers, and customers to coordinate activities associated with assigned work scope.
• Occasionally travel to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution.
