Job summary

You will lead lifecycle product development, apply 3D modeling, perform simulations, and ensure designs meet safety and regulatory requirements. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 6 years of mechanical design experience in product development
• Experience with high-vibration environments in transportation
• Proficient 3D modeling using Creo or SolidWorks
• Strong electronics packaging and thermal management background
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers

Responsibilities

• Lead design, estimation, analysis, development and validation of complex mechanical systems.
• Use 3D modeling and simulation to optimize performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams for integrated designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers on development activities and resolve quality challenges.
• Provide accurate labor and material estimates for new projects.
• Oversee testing and validation plans for third‑party components.
• Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay current with mechanical engineering best practices.
