Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in New Jersey is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Antenna Design group within the Sensor Mechanical Design Center. You will design, analyze, verify, and provide production support for mechanical structures, enclosures, and electronic modules across multiple programs for the RMS line of business.

You will collaborate with Systems, Electrical Engineers, Drafting and Operations to develop detailed designs, assembly strategies, and testing plans;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience supporting multi‑disciplinary teams involved with design of antennas, mechanical structures, enclosures, and electronic modules
• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD modeling, CreoParametric (preferred).
• Proven ability to work effectively with adjacent disciplines (electrical, software, manufacturing, etc.)
• Experienced in conducting root cause corrective actions (RCCA) on complex production issues
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD SECRET clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, verification, and production support of mechanical structures, enclosures, and electronic modules.
• Interface with Systems, Electrical Engineers, Drafting and Operations personnel in the development of detailed designs and assembly strategies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in design, development, integration, and testing and requirements verification of these technologies.
• Support technical data packages, design reviews, supplier engagement, and lab & test facility activities.
