Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop and continuously improve mud pumps, positive displacement pumps and related equipment in a manufacturing setting in the United States. This hands-on role focuses on delivering reliable, high-performance mechanical solutions from concept through implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in mechanical or machine design engineering.
• Experience designing mud pumps, positive displacement pumps or similar fluid handling equipment.
• Proficiency with Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Experience using FEA tools such as Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems development from concept through to implementation.
• Knowledge of API 6A, API 7K and API 8C standards.
• Experience within an ISO or API Q1 manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on fabrication, welding or mechanical workshop experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mud pumps, frac pumps and associated mechanical equipment.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Perform stress analysis, tolerance studies and design reviews.
• Develop and execute component and system testing programmes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare engineering reports and support technical decision making.
