Job summary

Talent Search Pro is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Houston to lead design and development of mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related equipment.

You will create detailed CAD models and drawings, perform FEA and stress analyses, and ensure reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Collaboration with manufacturing and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years mechanical design experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Direct pump design experience with mud/positive displacement/frac pumps required.
• Proficiency in reading drawings, P&IDs, and electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• CAD and FEA tools proficiency (Creo/Inventor/SolidWorks; ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation).

Responsibilities

• Design and refine mechanical equipment and pump systems.
• Create 3D models, layouts, and drawings.
• Perform stress analyses and FEA for reliability.
• Review tolerances and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and other teams.
• Ensure safety and industry standards compliance.
• Interpret schematics to support integration.
• Develop tests and document results.
