Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer in Houston to lead the design and development of mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on design experience and a background in oilfield equipment, enabling performance, reliability, and safety breakthroughs in our mechanical systems. This hybrid role offers collaboration across teams and ongoing learning in cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in machine and mechanical systems.
• Experience with mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, or frac pumps.
• Proficiency with CAD and FEA tools (Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys).
• Familiarity with API 6A, 7K, 8C and ISO/API Q1 facilities.
• Ability to read P&ID, electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and support for mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Conceptualize innovative mechanical design solutions, considering safety, efficiency, and industry standards.
• Perform stress analysis on mechanical components and systems to ensure their integrity and durability.
• Produce detailed design layouts and drawings, adhering to engineering standards and best practices.
• Conduct tolerance studies and review design documentation to maintain high-quality standards.
• Research and specify purchased component parts, ensuring compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and implement test plans for components and systems, validating their performance and functionality.
• Generate comprehensive engineering reports, documenting design processes, analyses, and outcomes.
• Stay updated with the latest hardware and software technologies to enhance our equipment offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to participate in the initial equipment conceptualization, development, and specification.
