Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Coral Gables, Florida. This role involves preparing engineering proposals, managing projects, and mentoring design teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PE registration, along with extensive experience in consulting engineering, especially in mineral mining projects.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000, depending on skills and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including health insurance and 401(k) retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering/design experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with design registration of power piping systems.
• Knowledge of ASME codes and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing proposals for engineering projects, including cost estimates.
• Providing mentorship and supervision to the design team.
• Managing budgets and schedules related to layout.
• Understanding project mission and client requirements.
• Engaging with client representatives for design coordination.

Skills

10+ years of relevant engineering/design experience

Professional Engineer (PE) registration

Knowledge of ASME codes

Experience with mining and bulk materials

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience

Strong communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills

Education
