Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to design and lead HVAC systems for Life Sciences, Research & Development, Pharmaceutical and Critical Facilities projects in San Francisco or Walnut Creek, CA.

You will manage submittals, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and develop strong client relationships while travelling as needed. PE license and 7+ years of related experience are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of related design experience in Life Sciences, R&D, Pharmaceutical or Critical Facilities projects.
• Engineering degree (BS Mechanical or BS Architectural Engineering) from an accredited school.
• PE license required.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead submittals in response to RFPs/RFQs.
• Manage existing and develop new client relationships.
• Communicate effectively and solve problems with strong organizational skills.
• Collaborate with MEPT teams and other disciplines.
• Develop floor plans and equipment layouts for mechanical/HVAC systems.
• Perform load calculations and piping/duct layouts.
• Prepare one-line diagrams and system studies.
• Coordinate with vendors on equipment specifications.
