Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer for our San Francisco, California area (or Walnut Creek, California) to design and specify building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for Life Sciences and related facilities. The role requires leading a team, ensuring code compliance, and delivering high-quality plumbing solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in Life Sciences or pharma projects, a BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, and a PE license, with ability to travel

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Life Sciences, R&D, Pharmaceutical, and Critical Facilities systems.
• BS Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited school.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel—SF Bay Area, San Diego, Chicago, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers and designers on all plumbing responsibilities.
• Develop and monitor plumbing work plans and specifications; write sections as needed.
• Coordinate with MEPFP, Architectural, Structural, and Process teams.
• Perform field verification and take-offs for renovation projects.
