Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Edmond, OK facility. You will steer product design from concept through introduction, applying engineering fundamentals to ensure feasibility and optimization.

You will analyze new and existing designs to meet performance targets and drive industry engagement. The role requires leading design reviews, developing prototypes, and ensuring regulatory and safety compliance while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to maintain cost

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3-7 years of hands-on industry experience with product design and engineering analysis FE certification
FE Certification required or able to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

Research and develop designs that provide solutions with minimal supervision
Create design concepts and layouts utilizing Autodesk Inventor
Lead design reviews with other Design Engineers, key marketing employees and manufacturing personnel
Lead DFM efforts with outside suppliers and internal teams to ensure proper manufacturing processes
Develop prototypes for new products
Sign off on first article inspection reports and test results to verify designs
