Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Mid-Career Mechanical Engineer, Machine Design, to support TOS II at Arnold AFB in Manchester, TN. The engineer will perform complex design and analysis, lead small to medium teams, and develop mechanical components and test fixtures. Qualifications include a B.S.

in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in machine design, extensive FEA experience (ANSYS Workbench), GD&T, CAD (Autodesk Inventor), and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and 5+ years’ experience with machine and mechanism design.
• Five years’ experience in finite element analysis (FEA) and GD&T.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD security clearance with AEDC access.
• U.S. Citizenship required for DoD contract compliance.

Responsabilités

• Independently perform complex analysis and design of components, systems, and facilities using statics, dynamics, and machine element design.
• Check complex analysis and design originated by less experienced engineers.
• Develop concepts for new hardware and provide thermal, structural, flow or other analyses to support the proposed design.
• Coordinate with engineers and craft workforce to ensure fabrication and installation per the approved design package.
• Lead design reviews and mentor early career engineers.
