Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Career Mechanical Engineer, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Manchester, TN. The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Competenze

• BS in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in machine and mechanism design
• 5 years' experience in FEA and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Eligible for DoD Secret clearance and able to obtain security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required for DoD contract access to AEDC networks
• Professional Engineering licensure preferred

Mansioni

• Perform complex analysis and design of components, systems, and facilities using statics, dynamics, materials mechanics, machine elements, and manufacturability
• Check analyses and designs by less experienced engineers
• Develop concepts for new hardware and provide thermal, structural, flow analyses as needed
• Design one-of-a-kind mechanisms, wind tunnel models, and test fixtures with stress analysis
• Provide engineering support to craft workforce for maintenance and repair of existing systems
• Produce complete design packages with drawings, analyses, and equipment specs and communicate details to project team
• Coordinate with system engineers, craft supervisors, and work planners for fabrication and installation
• May serve as Team Lead (>5 members) for complex analyses and design
• Act as expert on Design Engineering execution and mentor teammates
• Adhere to PPE requirements per policy
