Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a Mechanical Process Engineer to provide mechanical process engineering services for designated SMC facilities, focusing on safe, reliable, and productive processes delivered on time and within budget.

You will develop process designs, support capital projects, coordinate procurement, installation, and startup, and ensure documentation and post-audit follow-ups, with emphasis on Kaizen, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop safe, reliable, and productive processes installed on time and within budget.
• Plan and design facilities and processes; support maintenance and repair.
• Develop cost estimates and implementation schedules for projects.
• Prepare Safety, Health and Environmental evaluations and fail-safe analyses.
• Manage materials and labor for installation; prepare specifications and bid packages.
• Supervise installation and startup; ensure project follow-up including drawings and manuals.
• Record drawings, spare-part recommendations, and training; perform post-audit reviews.
