Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to provide engineering services for designated SMC facilities. You will evaluate and implement safe, reliable, and productive processes, keeping projects on schedule and budget, and identify improvements in existing operations.

The role requires planning and design of facilities, cost estimates, capital project support, and hands-on supervision during installation, startup, and post-project review.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and time management.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and implement safe, productive processes on time and within budget.
• Plan and design facilities and processes; support maintenance and repair.
• Develop cost estimates and implementation schedules for projects.
• Prepare Safety, Health and Environmental evaluations for capital requests.
• Procure materials and labor for approved projects; prepare specifications and bid packages.
• Supervise projects during installation and startup.
• Record drawings, manuals, spare parts, train operators/maintenance, and post-audit follow-up.
