Job summary

The Mechanical (ME) Engineer at Ameren Missouri performs engineering studies, designs, construction and commissioning activities for new natural gas generated energy centers. This role may support projects at other facilities including fossil, gas, hydro and renewable with long or non-standard hours.

The candidate must have a BS in Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical engineering and 10+ years of experience in simple cycle or combined cycle generation; strong AutoCAD, FATHOM, Bluebeam and MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Missouri Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or commitment to actively pursue one in Missouri preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical engineering requirements for existing and new generation projects.
• Lead mechanical engineering support across phases of simple cycle and combined cycle projects.
• Prepare design, planning, constructability reviews, value engineering, permitting and cost estimates.
