Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to lead mechanical and HVAC design for Life Sciences facilities in San Francisco or Walnut Creek, CA. This role blends engineering, design and coordination with clients and staff supervision.

You will manage submittals, perform load calculations, develop floor plans and diagrams, and contribute to project studies. A BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering and a PE license are required; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Life Sciences, R&D, pharmaceutical or critical facilities design.
• Engineering degree from an accredited school (Mechanical or Architectural).
• PE license is required and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead submittals in response to RFPs/RFQs.
• Manage existing and develop new client relationships.
• Perform load calculations and prepare floor plans with mechanical layouts.
• Develop one-line diagrams for HVAC and piping systems.
• Coordinate with MEP disciplines and review technical submittals.
• Support project documentation, specifications and scope of work.
