Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering seeks a Mechanical Engineer III to perform advanced design and analysis, potentially leading a discipline on projects. The role may supervise internal and external resources and can be filled in Houston, TX, Tulsa, OK, or Pittsburgh, PA.

The position requires strong knowledge of piping design, ASME/NFPA standards, and effective communication. It offers on-site work with travel as needed and opportunities for growth within a safety‑driven organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience with industrial piping systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Familiarity with NFPA 59A, ASME B31.1, B31.3, and ASME Section VIII preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops broad knowledge of industrial piping design principles.
• Evaluates standard techniques for conventional projects with few complex features.
• Coordinates tasks with entry level engineers, designers, or admin staff.
• Prepares portions of project documents.
• Communicates with equipment suppliers and assesses constructability.
