Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to plan, design, and execute complex pharmaceutical and life sciences capital projects. You’ll lead mechanical engineering efforts for manufacturing expansions, cleanrooms, and process utilities within GMP environments.

The role requires 10+ years in pharma/life sciences facilities, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, and strong leadership. Travel about 25% is expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in pharma/biotech or life sciences facility projects.
• Experience supporting FDA-regulated and cGMP manufacturing environments.
• PE license or progress toward licensure strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts for complex pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Serve as Mechanical Engineering Lead on capital projects from modification to greenfield developments.
• Drive project execution across planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, reliable, and scalable facilities.
