Job summary

SSOE is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead planning, design, and execution of pharmaceutical and life sciences capital projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver manufacturing expansions, cleanroom facilities, and process utilities while driving quality, schedule, and cost control.

This role requires strong leadership, client communication, and hands-on mentorship of engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license or progress toward licensure strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in pharma, biotech, or life sciences facility projects.
• Experience supporting FDA-regulated and cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Leadership skills with experience leading multidisciplinary capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts for complex pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Serve as Mechanical Engineering Lead on capital projects from modifications to major expansions.
• Drive project execution from planning through startup and qualification.
• Develop engineering solutions for process utilities and facility systems within GMP environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
