Job summary

IDEX Health & Science, LLC in Rochester is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to help move products from design to production. You will optimize manufacturing processes, perform PFMEA, document processes, and drive improvements while maintaining project priorities.

The role requires CAD/SolidWorks experience, Python preference, and the ability to collaborate across departments. Strong analytical skills and process ownership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Two or more years’ experience in mechanical engineering preferred
• Experience with CAD and SolidWorks is preferred
• Python experience is preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive continuous improvement for manufacturing through design and implementation of fixtures and tooling
• Respond to non-conformities, assisting production technicians
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop countermeasures
• Create new product BOMs and routings in ERP
• Create and manage project timelines and documentation
• Translate customer specifications into department procedures
• Interact with multiple departments to improve productivity and quality
• Establish safety regulations and document procedures
• Utilize data analysis to prioritize solutions
• Communicate changes effectively across the organization
