IDEX Health & Science LLC. is seeking a Senior Coating Process Engineer in West Henrietta, NY to advance new products and deposition equipment improvements in the optical coatings space.

You will design, deposit, measure, and control production processes while training technicians and engineers. The role requires 5+ years in optics/thin films, a BS in a related field, and strong data-analysis and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in an Optics, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 or more years of manufacturing or academic experience in optics or thin films.

Responsabilités

• Deposition process improvements across multiple coating deposition platforms.
• Lead efforts to develop and install new equipment and upgrades to existing equipment.
• Data mining and analysis of routinely reported metrics; deep dives for improvement projects.
• Manage cross-disciplinary project teams and maintain timelines and milestones.
• Cross functional problem solving with manufacturing, software, design, sales and quality teams.
• Support 2-shift manufacturing operations and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Create and maintain documentation of manufacturing processes and train personnel.
