Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in new product development.
• Proficient in parametric CAD modelling.
• GD&T understanding.
• Experience with multiple manufacturing techniques.
• Familiar with FEA.
• Experience defining test plans and reports.
• Data-driven decision making in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design from concept through design, development, testing and industrialization.
• Conduct simulations, prototyping and testing of optical interconnect solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing for DFM/DFA and cost competitiveness.
• Collaborate with patent attorneys to draft and review patent applications.
• Interface with cross-functional teams across product management, manufacturing, procurement and quality.
• Develop understanding of fiber optic products, installation and test methods.
