Job summary

RTX seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer REA in Tucson, AZ to contribute to the Shipboard Effectors Department. You will maintain mechanical TDPs, drive producibility improvements, support failure investigations, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

The role is onsite in Tucson and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (Secret). You will collaborate with a small team across environmental, structural, and thermal disciplines to deliver robust stack

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools and GD&T (ANSI Y14.5).
• Experience packaging electronics and performing structural/thermal analysis.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support documentation and mechanical aspects of stack configurations.
• Manage TDP configuration changes with producibility improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical issues.
• Drive manufacturability and cost-saving initiatives in assemblies.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, quality, and supply chain.
