Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer to support parts engineering and applications across proposal, SDD/LRIP, production, and support phases. You will collaborate with design, ECAD, and program management to ensure robust component solutions and BOM integrity.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, day-to-day interface with multiple teams, and active onsite work in Tucson. A strong background in electronic components and manufacturing processes is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with parts standardization and technology insertion.
Experience with BOM development and management for programs.
Experience with ICs/semiconductors and passives.
Experience with electronics manufacturing processes and test equipment.

Responsibilities

Determine program SOW and component requirements.
Provide tech insertion and parts selection guidance within constraints.
Interface with stakeholders and suppliers to develop component risk and verification packages.
Facilitate BOM and library management across program lifecycle.
Present standardization and obsolescence risk analyses during design reviews.
