Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a senior mechanical/ME engineer to design and analyze complex electromechanical systems for industrial and nuclear markets. You will lead a small team, perform advanced simulations, and ensure manufacturability of designs with SolidWorks and ANSYS.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience, a BS in a related field, and preferably a PE license or eligibility; DOE/nuclear project exposure is a plus. On-site in Huntsville, AL with potential for travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5–10 years of directly related experience.
  • Active Professional Engineering License is a strong plus.
  • Experience in nuclear or DOE-related design is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop designs based on customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Create 3D models and shop drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Perform kinematic, stress, structural and thermal analyses (FEA via ANSYS).
  • Lead small engineering teams (3–5 engineers) and interface with PM.
  • Prepare designs for manufacture (DFM) and verify compliance with specs.
  • Coordinate fabrication, installation, and testing activities.
