Job summary

Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. (TBE) in Knoxville, TN is seeking a mid‑senior mechanical engineer experienced in developing mechanical and controls systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creating fabrication and assembly drawings IAW ASME Y14 standards
  • Tolerancing and design for manufacturability
  • Interpreting electrical schematics for troubleshooting and design purposes
  • Developing proposals, test reports, customer presentations, design specifications, etc.
  • Interface with technicians to ensure specifications are attainable and verify compliance
  • Interface with customers in technical working groups
  • Estimate labor hours, track actuals, and coordinate scheduling with other project managers
  • Troubleshooting complex systems from sensor data and log files
  • Creating bills of materials for new designs and tracking materials during fabrication
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may include providing technical leadership to lower‑level engineers.
