Job summary

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support facility systems at Nevada National Security Site facilities. You will provide systems engineering for operations, lead design and proposal work, validate configurations, and coordinate with vendors under strict safety and security standards.

Requirements include ABET-accredited or calculus-based engineering degree, 5+ years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required for Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Alternatively, calculus-based STEM bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Professional Engineer license.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; depth or cross-disciplinary knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of codes and standards across disciplines.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and remain self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cognizance of facility systems, provide systems engineering support for operations and maintenance.
• Lead development of designs, strategies, reports and proposals.
• Validate system configurations and maintain CM documents; understand safety basis criteria.
• Support In-service Inspections and Technical Surveillance Requirements.
