Columbia Machine, Inc. is seeking an experienced mechanical design professional to develop molds, tooling, and manufacturing processes for concrete molding systems.

You will interpret sales orders and engineering requirements to create mold concepts, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and related product data. You will lead advanced CAD modeling, review complex components and drawings, and drive prototype testing and design improvements while mentoring engineering staff and

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering required.
• 5-10 years of professional experience.
• Experience with PDM and Manufacturing software systems.
• Experience with Item Master generation and BOM integration.
• Experience with vendor components, fits, stack-ups, tolerances, interferences.

Responsabilidades

• Leads advanced 3D CAD modeling and mechanical design, ensuring form, fit, function, manufacturability, and performance are met.
• Develops and reviews complex components, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Leads prototype testing, analyzes results, identifies root causes, and implements design improvements.
• Demonstrates advanced proficiency in CAD systems, including digital scanning, surface modeling, and product development.
• Provides technical leadership and design review support to engineering team members.
• Supports Manufacturing, Sales, Quality with technical expertise and problem-solving.
